I think mala is right because vladek is really attached to things because he has so many things that he probrably will never use and lots of the things are already broken but, he has good memories with there things so he doesnt want to give them up.I think mala said this because he doesnt treat her well and she doesnt feel attatched to him.
I think it it true. Earlier in his life he was a savvy buisnessman and he always had money. When he was taken away by the Nazis, he was probably scarred by how evil people can be, he prefers material possessions over them.
I think it is true. I think his earlier life was really hard, so he likes to keep things of the past because of all the memories in them (not good memories, but just all the struggles). I agree with Myliese saying that Mala said this because she doesn't really feel like he treats her right and she doesn't feel appreciated.
