Chapter 2
Why did Vladek go to Bielsko? How does Anja respond to him leaving? Have you or members of your family ever had to separate in order to start a new job or new life? How did it feel for the people who moved on? How did it feel for the people who were left behind? If not, please relate this situation to another book you have read or to another person's life.

Vladek went to Bielsko because he had a factory out there.Anja gets sick and says she doesn't want to live any more.No that has not happened to me but in the book I'm reading the girls mom got new hours and she is never home. Her parents never see each other. He mom got a little mad because the dad did not want herr to leave but she said she had to. Her dad started to work more because the mom did and now the girl is worried that they will not keep loving each other.
ReplyDeleteThe reason that Vladek went to Bielsko is because he has a textile factory there. Anja got very sick after she gave birth and she became very depressed saying things like she wants to die and that she doesn't care anymore.
ReplyDeleteWhen i was 5 years old my mom and dad left me so they can start a new life here in the U.S. I had not seen them for 5 years and had to stay with my grandparents. I felt like i was ditched by my parents but they said that they did it only with the best intentions for all of us...
PS- This book is fantastic! :D
Vladek went to Bielsko to look for an apartment and work at his textile factory. Anja got depressed because he left.
ReplyDeleteYes, I have had family who moved away from me. It was my aunt, uncle and cousin. They liked their move to Denver, Colorado a lot more than the rest of my family. We were sad when they moved, because we use to see them a lot more than now, but at least they are happy there.
Vladek left his home and Anja to go to his factory. Anja got really depressed and said that she didn't want to live anymore. I have had a friend move far away. I was really sad that he left because he was a good friend of mine.

ReplyDeleteYes in 4th grade one of my best friends moved away. It was tough at first but we stayed in touch for a while after. It was weird not having him around. But, eventually we slowly talked less and less. I havent heard from him in over a year but im sure hes having fun where ever he is
Vladek left because he was starting a textile factory. Anja felt very depressed because the one she loved was moving and because they just had a child. ITs a lot of stress people!
ReplyDeleteI kinda had an incident like that happen. My cousin and aunt and uncle moved from chicago to switzerland. It was really hard for me because my cousin was like a sister to me. Then they decided to come back. I was so happy! Suddenly they wanted to move to peru =( They are still there but I am happy because they have fun there and because i see them every summer
Vladek went to Beilsko because he wanted to start his own Textile Factory. He started the factory because Anja's father wanted his grandchild to be well-off. In the book it didn't say exactly how Anja felt about him leaving but it said that she was depressed after she had the baby.
ReplyDeleteThis experience or anything like it has never happened to me before but if it did I would be really sad and maybe even scared. What if you were leaving everything and everyone you knew, like your family and friends and were going somewhere where you didn't know anyone. Wouldn't you be scared. If I was the person left behind I would also be sad and scared because what if you really depended on that person to be your friend and to hold your hand when your scared or to give you a hug when your sad, that person wouldn't be able to do that anymore if they left.
Vladek went to Beilsko because of his dreams to start a Textile Factory. Anja was depressed from Vladek leaving but also from the stress of having her baby. I have never had anyone leave me but in the book that I'm reading, the girl has to move over seas. She feels really depressed about it because she will miss her friends and family that are in America. I would feel depressed and scared if someone very close to me moved away because it would then feel that a part of your life is missing.
ReplyDeleteVladek's father in law helped him start his own textile factory in Beilsko, but he had to leave Anja and their newborn son behind. Anja spiraled into a deep depression from the stress of having a child and Vladek not being there to really help out. This has never happened to me, but it has ALMOST happened to me a couple of times. Th one that we got closest to moving away was when I was very young (1st grade?). My dad was offered a job out in Washington DC. He would have helped start up a new law program there with the firm he is with, but the pay wasn't very good. I can't imagine how much my life would have changed if I had moved away! It would have been very hard at such a young age to be away from all of my close family and friends. I am very thankful it didn't happen, because I wouldn't have really known all of you!

Vladek moved to Bielsko because Anja's father gave him money to start a textile factory there. When he moves Anja starts to break down for no apparent reason so she is sent to a sanitarium. This is similar to Walk Two Moons when Phoebe's mom leaves her. She gets even more paranoid then usual and is usually mad at everyone.
ReplyDeleteVladex went to Bielsko because he started a factory there, it didnt say anything about Anja being mad about him being there but the book said that she got sick and she didnt want to live anymore. My parents had a divorce in 2005 so, they moved on with different lives. At first i thought my life was going to end, but i still always see them and its not bad. No one was left behind, but my grandma did tell me a story about my grandpa when he was in the war, him and his brother were there and his brothers was called to go somewhere else for war, they called each other, but my grandpa never saw him again.

This never happened to me, but my Aunts daughter, Emily is in college and moved away into a dorm room. So she never gets to see him until holidays and breaks. I have talked to Emily recently when i went to New Jersey for Christmas Break adn she was so happy to see her mom! She told me it was really tough to not see her evry morning when she woke up. My Aunt was very sad. She told me she had to find a hobby since she didnt need to drive her daughter anywhere anymore.

Then after a while Anja had gotten sick and started to think negative...wanted to die and said she didnt want to live anymore. No, this hasn't happened to me about a family memeber getting more hours from a job and not seeing them to much. But it was about to happen with my mom needing more hours and she wasn't going to be home often. I think it could of hurt me and my dad becuase he works during the day and at night. So when i have practice my mom takes me. But if she worked two jobs it would be hard for me. I would have to be with another family like my friends all the time or I would have to always make my own dinner, or i would spend time with my aunt and she would take me to practice and do everything else.

The reason why Vladeck went to bielsko was because he had a textile factory. The reason why Vladeck went back was because Anja had gotten very depressed and starting saying things like I don't care about anything anymore and that she wanted to die.
ReplyDeleteMy mom's x boyfriend moved back to Texas for business reasons. He felt sad because he had to leave me and mom for his worked and he loved both of us alot. I felt sad because he was like a Dad to me and I treated him like he was, and it was sad to see him go

Valdek went to Bielsko because he had a textile factory there. Anja starts to thing negatively when he leaves says that she doesn't want to live anymore.Yes, when i left Ohio to come live in Chicago. it was hard to leave Ohio because i had to leave my freinds,school, and my grandma in Ohio to start a new life in Chicago. It was hard fro my grandma in Ohio because she was used to seeing my mom and i every day and now she would have to see us maybe every three months. so yes it was hard to move.
ReplyDeleteThe reason Vladek left for Bielsko was because he needed to work on his textie shop. This had a huge affect on Anja which made her depressed because he was not by her side when she delivered their child. My brother had to move away from home to attend college and it was hard for me and my family it made us miss him.
ReplyDeleteThe reason Valdek left was he went to start a new job. The reason why anja was depressed was because she just gave birth to her baby and then on top her husband left to work.
ReplyDeleteMy friend went through having her aunt leave for a new job. She was very sad. They kept in touch for a while and until this day they are happy.
He went there because he had a factory. Anja then went into deppresion and was suiccidel. Nothing like this has ever happened to me, but I have read the book"Gone with the Wind", and it is exactley like this. Scarlet had to run away from her plantation because of the war, and when she came back, it was a complete reck. Scarlet felt really bad about this, because she felt if she didin't leave, her home would be fine. Her parents were very sad about her leaving. Then, her mother died and her father went insane.
